Make a Tie Dyed Gel Candle

Tie-Dyed Gel Candles

These are a lot like the cracked glass candles, but we do one or two things a bit differently for a slightly different look..

Mount your wick in the bottom of the clean, dry container.

Take your old gel scraps and tear them into medium sized chunks. Poke them into the container around the wick in a color arrangement that pleases you.

Fill the container with clear gel. Use a piece of coathanger or an unsharpened pencil to poke the bigger air bubbles. To remove more of the bubbles, bake the candle at about 180 degrees for about half an hour, watching the candle CLOSELY to make sure that the gel doesn't melt too much, or your colors will all bleed together.
